Description
The City of Seattle is soliciting a lump-sum public works contractor to renovate the fire-damaged Dahl Playfield restroom and storage building at 7700 25th Avenue NE. The work includes converting the restrooms to two single-occupancy accessible restrooms; replacing fire-damaged timber framing, roof structure, and standing-seam metal roofing; adding shear walls; removing the stone chimney; replacing the electrical system; and upgrading plumbing fixtures, finishes, lighting, and ventilation. Site improvements include an accessible van parking space, accessible pathways and sidewalks, a new restroom entry, and related parking-lot accessibility work. The project also includes selective demolition, lead and PCB abatement, construction stormwater and environmental controls, and associated concrete, masonry, carpentry, painting, tile, signage, and toilet-accessory work. The engineer's estimate is $968,676.00, and the contract requires completion within 120 working days for substantial completion and 130 working days for physical completion after the Notice to Proceed.
