The City of Newark, Department of Engineering, Division of Traffic and Signals, is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide professional planning, engineering, public engagement, and related services for the development of a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and Demonstration Project under the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program. The project aims to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries through a data-driven, equitable, and community-focused transportation safety program. Services may include crash and safety data collection and analysis, identification of High Injury Networks, Vision Zero and Safe System Approach assessments, public engagement, equity analysis, prioritization of multimodal safety improvements, conceptual and preliminary engineering, and implementation of demonstration projects. The selected consultant will be required to comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations.
