Description
The City of Hot Springs is soliciting bids for as-needed construction equipment, equipment operators, and construction personnel to perform small public works jobs and emergency work. The scope includes equipment rental with or without operators, including excavators, backhoes, dozers, dump trucks, rollers, pumps, cranes, compactors, jackhammers, concrete saws, and other specialty equipment, as well as superintendent, foreman, heavy-duty operator, skilled labor, and laborer services. Contractors must generally begin work within seven calendar days after notification, perform work full time, and provide pricing for hourly and daily rates, material markup, subcontractor markup, and specialty-equipment markup. The contract is for one year with four additional 12-month terms, subject to annual budget approval, and may be awarded to multiple contractors. Bidders must provide required licensing, business information, insurance documentation, and other requested certifications. The bid packet requires a signed bid response, acknowledgment of the bidding and purchase terms, a general-liability insurance certificate, Arkansas commercial-contractor licensing documentation, and other applicable business-registration information. Hazardous-material disclosures are required when applicable, but the provided hazardous-substance form is due at purchase-order award or afterward rather than with the bid.
