Description
The City of Hot Springs is soliciting bids for labor and materials to remove, rebuild, and reinstall a gravity thickener clarifier drive assembly for its Utilities Department. The scope includes rebuilding the motor, speed reducer, chain drive with shear-pin coupling, chain guard, worm gear, spur gear, and electromechanical torque-limiting device, along with providing a rebuild kit, epoxy primer and finish, fasteners, gear oil, and equipment such as a crane for gearbox removal. The assembly is rated for 15,300 foot-pounds of continuous torque and is used to thicken sludge before transfer to digesters. Bidders must provide new, current-design commercial-market materials, manufacturer specifications, warranties, labor, supervision, equipment, travel, fuel, and all other project costs. An alternate price is requested for supplying and installing a new GT clarifier drive in lieu of rebuilding the existing assembly. The bid requires specified licensing, insurance, bid security when applicable, and other response certifications and attachments.
