Description
Huron Valley Schools, in partnership with the CoPro+ cooperative purchasing program managed by the Public Procurement Institute of Michigan, is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional financial and compliance auditing services beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. The scope includes annual financial audits, compliance audits, Single Audits when required, audits of bonded construction funds, required audit disclosures and management letters, electronic filing of reports with the Michigan Department of Education, and compliance with applicable AICPA, Government Auditing Standards, GASB, Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Department of Treasury, and Michigan school-audit requirements. The selected firm must be licensed to practice public accounting in Michigan, have at least five years of experience auditing Michigan K-12 public school districts or intermediate school districts, provide at least three qualifying public-school audit references from the past five years, submit its most recent external peer review report and related letter, and provide assigned staff profiles and related experience. The auditor must attend and present audit results in person at two meetings each year. Pricing must be provided by service category and contract year, including optional years, and must include a 2% cooperative administrative fee. The resulting statewide cooperative contract may be extended to other Michigan municipalities and school districts, with multiple vendors potentially awarded.
