Description
Mariposa County is soliciting sealed bids for the Mariposa Creek Parkway Project. Schedule A covers construction of Mariposa Creek Parkway Phase III, including a paved multi-use trail, pedestrian bridge, secondary pathways and trail amenities, the 11th Street Paseo connecting SR 49/140 to Jessie Street, and Jessie Street improvements. Schedule B is a separate project for Phase I and II Restoration and Access Enhancements, including approximately 800 linear feet of trail, a footbridge, seating, an information kiosk, and solar lighting. Bidders must submit separate bid items for both schedules. The Phase III construction documents were previously bid, but prior bids exceeded available construction funding; the documents have been modified to reduce construction costs. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services for a complete project, self-perform at least 50% of the work excluding specialty items, hold a California Class A or C-27 contractor's license, and be registered as a public works contractor. The contract time is 90 calendar days from commencement. A 10% bid security is required, and the successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance after award.
