Description
The Central Illinois Land Bank Authority is soliciting bids for demolition of all structures at 103 W Collett Street and 202 W Collett Street in Oakwood, Illinois. The work includes utility disconnection and sewer sealing, complete removal of structures, slabs, foundations, debris, and other hard surfaces, basement excavation and granular backfill, topsoil placement, seeding, grading, erosion and sediment controls, site security fencing, traffic control, permitting, and restoration of positive drainage. The contractor must remove and legally dispose of solid waste, provide disposal documentation, and deliver waste to the designated Republic Services facility in Danville, Illinois. Asbestos abatement is required at both properties but will be performed by a licensed abatement contractor and is excluded from the demolition contractor's responsibility; the demolition contractor must coordinate accordingly. The contractor must also remove the stump at 103 W Collett Street and comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders must price each property separately and may bid on one or both properties. The selected contractor must complete the work by October 15, 2026, and demolition must generally be completed within 45 days after the Notice to Proceed. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, and the authority may award separate contracts for each property. Qualification requires evidence of at least three similar projects completed within the preceding 12 months. The proposal package must include the Proposal Form, samples of at least three similar projects from the preceding 12 months, the sworn and notarized statement, and the completed demolition pricing spreadsheet.
