Description
The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is seeking physician consulting services to protect human health and the environment by regulating pesticide sales and use. The selected consultant will provide expertise on pesticide exposure, assist in analyzing pesticide-related illness reports, contribute to risk assessments, and potentially lead the development of reports on the health effects of pesticides. The consultant must be a licensed physician in California with expertise in general medicine, preventive medicine, epidemiology, pharmacology/toxicology, and data analysis. Bilingual Spanish fluency is required. Services will include telephone and on-site medical consultation, evaluation of medical records, and assistance with training and research projects. The contract term is approximately 35 months, with an estimated budget of $191,724.00.
