Description
The Village of Schaumburg is soliciting bids for improvements along Salt Creek Tributaries No. 3 and No. 5. The work includes invasive vegetation removal, earth excavation and grading, stone and gabion placement, streambank stabilization, riffle-pool and shoreline treatments, erosion and sediment control, native seeding, tree, shrub, and perennial planting, and site restoration. The project also includes removal and construction of pedestrian trail facilities, including two box-culvert pedestrian bridges, asphalt and wood-chip trails, guardrails, traffic control, and related work. Contractors must provide supervision, labor, equipment, materials, permits, site safety, insurance, a 10% bid security, and a 100% performance bond. Post-construction monitoring and management, including annual reporting and performance-based vegetation and site-stability requirements through 2029, are also required.
