Description
Western University is soliciting proposals for the supply and installation of equipment for three suites at its new Pathogen Research Centre: an incubator suite, a centrifugation suite, and a cold storage suite. The requested equipment includes four stackable CO2 incubators, two stackable shaking incubators, two tabletop refrigerated centrifuges, four benchtop microcentrifuges, two high-speed refrigerated floor centrifuges, one ultracentrifuge, two chromatography refrigerators, two laboratory freezers operating at -20°C, four ultra-low-temperature freezers operating at -80°C, and one cryogenic storage system operating at -140°C. The equipment and related services must be coordinated with construction and commissioning of the facility, including delivery, installation, site-condition verification, utilities, environmental controls, supporting infrastructure, service and support, sustainability, accessibility, and technical requirements. Western may select multiple solutions or suppliers, although it prefers a single solution. Proponents must submit completed technical questionnaires, pricing, references, sustainability documentation, and other required forms through the electronic portal.
