Description
Simpson County School District is soliciting sealed lump-sum bids for site development improvements at Mendenhall High School, Mendenhall Elementary School, Magee High School, Magee Middle School, Simpson County Technical Center, and Simpson Central School. The project includes new fencing and access-control gates; parking lot and street resurfacing and restriping; sidewalks, curbs, car stops, ADA ramps, and railings; grading and drainage improvements; parking, landscaping, an amphitheater and plaza; metal canopies; dumpster pads; relocation of site elements; and football-stadium lighting. Bids must cover all work required by the contract documents. Proposals are due in duplicate and must include proposal security equal to at least 5% of the base bid, in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds and insurance. Work must be completed by July 1, 2027, subject to a written notice to proceed and liquidated damages.
