The University of Mississippi Medical Center intends to certify Duke University as the sole source for a three-year renewal of Duke TAMS, a teaching assignment management software product. Duke TAMS uses proprietary algorithms developed for higher education to match instructors with courses based on teaching history, expertise, preferences, availability, and the institution's workload methodology. The software supports assignment and resource management for the School of Nursing, which serves more than 850 students and has more than 77 full-time and part-time faculty members.
