Description
The United States Navy is seeking a contractor to repair, upgrade, test, inspect, and return 36 inertial navigation units to Ready for Issue condition. The contractor must provide the facility, labor, parts, materials, tooling, test equipment, and other resources required for the work, and must perform repairs in accordance with approved drawings and repair manuals. The contractor is responsible for a 25-day repair turnaround after asset receipt, throughput reporting, inspection and acceptance, historical repair records, and applicable packaging and marking requirements. The contractor must maintain a documented quality system meeting ISO 9001, SAE AS9100, or an equivalent standard; maintain calibration and purchased-material control systems; prepare repair, test, inspection, and quality-assurance procedures; and maintain an enclosed warehouse for assets awaiting repair or shipment. The solicitation identifies the inertial navigation item by part number 34200550-004 and NSN 6605-01-619-3381, and requires the offeror to identify the repair source, performing division, and work location.
