Description
The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Water Supply is soliciting bids for the furnishing and delivery of coagulants to the Waimea Water Treatment Plant on an as-needed basis. Only the following pre-qualified products may be offered: Ultra PAC 394, Sumachlor 50, Ultra Floc 3000, and CCI RO-80. Products must meet NSF Standard 060 and the solicitation’s specified performance and quality criteria, including solids, active coagulant, viscosity, molecular weight, specific gravity, aluminum concentration, NSF certification, and safety data sheet requirements. The contractor must deliver solution coagulant in 275-gallon ultraviolet-resistant tote bins within 14 calendar days of each order, place the material as directed, provide the necessary equipment and operators, and return empty tote bins at no charge. The contractor must also provide as-needed technical assistance, including plant-optimization support and reports, with competent technical assistance residing in Hawaiʻi and at least three years of experience with potable-water coagulants. Bidders must conduct a jar test at the plant before bidding and submit proof of technician competency and references with the bid.
