Description
The State of Hawaii Department of Hawaiian Home Lands is soliciting bids for labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and installation of approximately 3,690 linear feet of six-foot chain-link fencing along South Kohala Distribution Road and three nearby burial lots in Kamuela. The work includes five pedestrian gates, one 24-foot double swing vehicle gate, concrete post foundations, drilling through asphalt where required, and a $15,000 allowance. Fence and gate materials must comply with the referenced chain-link fencing specifications and standard details. The contractor must hold a valid Hawaii “A” General Engineering or “C-32” Ornamental Guardrail license, meet stated comparable-project experience requirements, provide at least 20% self-performance, complete mandatory UXO awareness training before ground-disturbing work, and comply with prevailing-wage requirements. A bid bond of at least 5% of the lump-sum bid is required; performance and payment bonds of 100% of the contract price are required for contracts of $50,000 or more. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
