Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a single contractor under a firm-fixed-price construction contract to repair tuckpointing and masonry at the Wilmington VA Medical Center. The work covers exterior masonry and parapet walls across approximately 10 buildings, including inspection and repair of masonry joints, replacement of damaged masonry units, mortar analysis and color-matched repointing, exterior cleaning, caulking, selective demolition, concrete repairs, roof-related repairs, and installation of roof safety anchor points. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, travel, permits, licenses, supervision, scaffolding, safety controls, infection-control measures, and waste management required by the drawings and specifications. The project requires compliance with applicable codes, VA standards, healthcare-facility safety requirements, and detailed submittal, quality-control, accident-prevention, and scheduling requirements. A bid bond and payment bond are required. The estimated construction magnitude is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000, and the period of performance is 270 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The procurement is a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside; offerors must be registered in SAM and verified in SBA VetCert at bid submission.
