Description
The Syracuse Metropolitan Transportation Council (SMTC) is initiating the LaFayette Road Corridor Study, covering LaFayette Road from the City line to E Seneca Turnpike, and a segment of E Seneca Turnpike from LaFayette Road to E Brighton Ave. The primary goal of this study is to enhance transportation safety for all users, with a specific emphasis on increasing the use of non-motorized transportation along the corridor. The SMTC is seeking an experienced consultant or team of consultants to perform a comprehensive evaluation. This will include assessing existing conditions, identifying issues, developing recommendations, and creating an implementation plan. The implementation plan should detail recommendations, provide cost estimates, identify potential future funding sources, and outline project timing (near, mid, and long-term). All findings will be documented as outlined in the Request for Proposals. This opportunity has a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal of 10.00%. Previous contractors for similar procurements within the last five years include Barton & Loguidice and Creighton Manning.
