Description
The County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services is soliciting proposals for a community-based Family Support and Abuse Prevention program serving approximately 300 children and youth with developmental disabilities and their families annually. Services must be provided to residents of the First Supervisorial District and include specialized case management and community outreach, culturally responsive parent education and support groups in English and Spanish, in-home individual counseling and education for children and youth, and training for Regional Centers and community partners on the relationship between developmental disabilities and child abuse and neglect. The selected contractor must maintain a service office in the First Supervisorial District, provide predominantly in-person services, maintain qualified and licensed staff, conduct background clearances, collect and report program outcomes, and implement quality-assurance and client-satisfaction processes. The maximum annual contract amount is $300,000, funded entirely through Assembly Bill 2994 funds. The anticipated term is one base year with four additional one-year extension options.
