Description
The City seeks a contractor to furnish the labor, materials, and equipment needed for downtown infrastructure improvements. The work includes installation of a 30-inch storm sewer and new manholes, connection to an existing storm sewer, water service and mainline replacement, sidewalk replacement, full-depth pavement reconstruction and repairs, concrete curbing, and driveway aprons. The project must reach substantial completion by November 12, 2028. The City Engineer estimates the total construction cost, including any selected alternates, at $9.3 million. Bidders must be qualified by experience and properly equipped to complete the work within the allotted time. A bid guarantee is required: either a bond for the full bid amount or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid amount. The bid must also include a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience. Prevailing wage requirements apply, and domestic steel use requirements are specified.
