The University of Texas at Austin, on behalf of the Cockrell School of Engineering, is soliciting bids for a Leica TS-60, associated peripherals, and supporting surveying and metrology equipment. This equipment is required for conducting precision surveys of geodetic ground stations at McDonald Observatory. The required precision for these surveys is 1 millimeter over a kilometer-scale, necessitating a high-performance instrument with 0.6mm distance and 0.5" angle gold certification. The scope includes the instrument, radio receiver, remote controller, necessary survey software, batteries, precision Leica circular retroreflectors, heavy-duty tribrachs, and extra-tall tripods with extensions up to 10ft. Vendors are not expected to perform assembly or installation; only delivery of the equipment to CSR is required. The desired delivery date is on or before July 15th, 2026.
