Description
The USDA Forest Service is seeking one new, commercially available refrigerated and insulated tow-behind cooler trailer for seedling storage and transport supporting the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests Reforestation Program. The trailer must be approximately 8 feet long by 7 feet wide by 7 feet high, provide at least 6 feet by 8 feet of usable interior cargo space with a minimum 48-inch interior height, and accommodate at least 36 seedling boxes. It must maintain 33°F–50°F when powered by electricity or a generator and no more than 65°F during field operations without electrical hookup. Required features include foam-in-wall insulation, electric plug-in and generator operation, a generator vinyl cover, lockable spare tire, bumper-pull configuration, GVWR of no more than 8,000 pounds, standard coupler and safety chains, at least 6 inches of axle ground clearance, DOT-compliant lighting, electric trailer brakes, and a breakaway braking system. The quotation must identify the manufacturer, make, and model and include descriptive literature or specifications demonstrating compliance with every salient characteristic, firm-fixed pricing, delivery timing, and required entity-registration information. Delivery, inspection, and acceptance are required by December 31, 2026.
