Description
This Request for Information seeks commercial trailer manufacturers and modification providers capable of adapting a commercially available insulated or refrigerated semi-trailer into a specialized rocket-engine transport trailer. The anticipated scope includes engineering and modification design, delivery of one fully functional first-article trailer, subsequent production and delivery of four trailers, spare-parts documentation, and technical support for government-led qualification testing. Required features include six sets of side-opening cargo doors, rear doors, reinforced flooring with flush-mounted tie-downs for three 2,500-pound containers, non-skid flooring, temperature control, chemical-resistant interior materials compatible with Monomethylhydrazine and Nitrogen Tetroxide, exterior-accessible atmospheric sampling ports, grounding and electrostatic-discharge protection, explosive placard brackets, and standard highway towing interfaces. Respondents must address their capabilities, available materials, structural and technical documentation, and support for testing and discrepancy resolution.
