Seattle Public Utilities will host an optional, three-hour tour of the Cascade Dam Facility at Lake Youngs and the Lake Youngs Reservoir Perimeter Dike. The tour will include a walk around portions of the facility, an overview of the site's history and functions, and discussion of two anticipated consultant opportunities: design work to improve the structural integrity of the Cascades Dam and Perimeter Dike, and relining the Lake Youngs Perimeter Drain. The event is intended for potential prime consultants and subconsultants to learn about the facilities, improve future qualification responses, and begin forming teams. Attendance is non-mandatory, and the site is secured and access-controlled; interested attendees should contact the project lead in advance so transportation into and out of the site can be arranged.
