Description
The City of Issaquah Department of Public Works is requesting qualifications from consultants to provide design services for the NW Juniper Street Improvements project. The project will extend a shared-use path between Newport Way NW and approximately 800 feet east, including pedestrian lighting, striping, signing, driveway aprons, and ADA ramps, tying into the existing Juniper Street shared-use path. The anticipated scope includes project administration; coordination with subconsultants, utilities, and utility potholing; survey basemaps and utility locates; transportation engineering for lighting, parking lot design, drainage, bioretention, turn templates, and safety analysis; NEPA support; and additional design review or transportation engineering as needed. Evaluation will consider company experience and past performance, personnel and in-house expertise, project understanding, schedule, and familiarity with WSDOT and FHWA standards. A voluntary 10% SBE participation goal applies, with a required SBE Participation Plan before work begins. The City may retain the selected firm for the subsequent construction phase.
