Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a potential firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple-award task order contract covering hazardous, pharmaceutical, universal, radioactive, mixed, infectious, controlled-substance, and special non-hazardous waste services at multiple Veterans Affairs medical centers and community-based outpatient clinics. The anticipated scope includes waste characterization and sampling, pharmacy RCRA characterization, waste profiling, inspections, collection, packaging, transportation, lab packing, treatment, disposal, recycling, electronic recordkeeping, manifests, technical consulting, RCRA biennial-report support, and annual DOT/RCRA training. The contractor must maintain applicable state hazardous-waste hauler licenses, provide permitted treatment, storage, and disposal or recycling facilities, support controlled-substance destruction through a DEA-registered reverse distributor or authorized subcontractor, provide 24/7 spill response with personnel on site within two hours, and support waste reduction strategies. The notice requests a business and capability profile, applicable certifications and licenses, relevant service categories, and a list of locations the respondent can support.
