Description
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission seeks a registered design professional team to provide architectural and engineering services for a new youth facility at the Southwest Ohio Developmental Center. The project includes up to 24 residential units, schooling and activity program space, and a recreation area. The selected team will study two potential greenfield sites and provide programming, planning, design, bid and award support, construction administration, and post-construction services. During construction, the team must provide at least 10 hours of on-site construction administration each week, including progress-meeting attendance and written field reports. The project has an estimated total cost of $31 million, including an estimated construction cost of $26 million, and an estimated basic A/E fee range of 6.5% to 7% of construction cost. The solicitation is an MBE set-aside requiring active MBE certification at closing. The RFQ also requires EDGE participation and identifies a 5% EDGE participation goal. Statements of Qualifications must address relevant experience, team qualifications, project approach, BIM capabilities, and EDGE participation; the evaluation includes firm and team experience, past performance, proximity, and project-management capabilities.
