Description
The district is soliciting a managed lit-fiber network connecting its data center hub with nine school and remote sites. The scope includes point-to-point circuits, connectivity equipment and related installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair. The provider must support 24/7 restoration, begin repairs within one hour of outage notification, provide two outage contacts, and maintain a service response presence within 50 miles of the district. The service must meet specified performance thresholds, support existing network hardware and VLANs, and include necessary rights of way and pathway changes at the provider’s expense. The proposal must include a service solution write-up of no more than five pages and three references from Kentucky K–12 educational customers. The contract period is July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2032, with up to five additional one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Bids are submitted by mail or delivery; internet and fax submissions are not accepted.
