Description
The Northwest Florida Water Management District is requesting proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to perform annual independent audits of the District’s financial statements. The work includes financial statement audits, federal and state single audits, testing of accounting records, determination of major programs, compliance testing, management letters, required auditor reports, submission of annual financial data, and related assistance with governmental accounting and reporting standards. Audits must comply with generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, the Single Audit Act, 2 C.F.R. Part 200, Subpart F, the Florida Single Audit Act, and Chapter 10.550 of the Rules of the Florida Auditor General. The contract has a three-year base term beginning with the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, with three potential one-year renewals. Proposals must include organizational and personnel qualifications, at least three similar Florida governmental audit references with completed performance surveys, a technical and management approach, and a cost proposal. The auditor must provide up to 25 original printed and bound copies and one electronic version of required reports, retain working papers for at least five years, and maintain specified insurance coverage.
