Description
The Town of Wells is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of the Drakes Island Road bridge over Blacksmith Brook. The project includes steel pile foundations, a 22-foot-span precast concrete rigid-frame bridge, raising and widening the approaches, traffic control, site restoration, and ancillary work. Substantial completion is required within 135 calendar days from the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed, with final completion within 21 calendar days after substantial completion. A bid security equal to 5% of the bid price is required, and the selected bidder must provide performance and payment bonds each equal to 100% of the project price.
