Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical Supply Chain is conducting market research for a voluntary labeling and data-sharing pilot involving selected generic pharmaceutical products. Participating manufacturers may be asked to identify the country of origin or manufacture for the finished dose form, each active pharmaceutical ingredient, and each key starting material used to produce each API, including lot-specific information when origins vary. The pilot may involve developing a labeling construct, obtaining Food and Drug Administration approval, producing and affixing labels to products, and presenting the information on packaging, containers, or supplemental supply-chain documentation. QR codes or links may be considered to provide access to the information. Respondents should describe relevant products, traceability capabilities, implementation timelines, anticipated effort, concerns, cost impacts, and recommendations for structuring or scaling the pilot. This is a sources-sought request for information and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to a future acquisition.
