Description
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia intends to procure five units of an electrical strip, NSN 6150-01-690-1870, part number 06552-00811-114, with delivery FOB origin. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation is identified as the original equipment manufacturer and only known source; drawings and technical data are unavailable to the Government. Firms that are not already approved to manufacture the material must submit a Source Approval Request, but the procurement will not be delayed for approval. This is a presolicitation notice for an anticipated sole-source acquisition under FAR Part 15 and the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302. The notice is not a request for competitive proposals, although capability statements, proposals, or quotations received by the response deadline will be considered for market research. Electronic procedures will be used, and the RFQ/solicitation is expected to be posted to NECO. The procurement is not a total small-business set-aside.
