Description
Union County is soliciting a single prime contractor on a lump-sum basis to replace an existing 72-inch corrugated metal pipe with dual 90-inch corrugated steel pipes at Cane Creek Park. The work includes furnishing labor, equipment, supplies, and materials; trenching, backfilling, cutting, channeling, chasing, and patching; and installing complete stormwater drainage piping in accordance with the project specifications, drawings, and applicable requirements. The addendum confirms the 90-inch pipe size, sets the contract duration at 70 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, and clarifies that the contractor must obtain any permits required for blasting if rock excavation requires it. The revised bid form includes allowances for rock excavation, foundation conditioning material, and geotextile. The contractor must submit a lump-sum bid with the required bid security and acknowledge the addendum; a North Carolina contractor license is required. The bid form also requests subcontractor information for specialty work and states that qualification information, including experience and past performance, may be requested by the owner.
