Description
The City of Westland is soliciting proposals for armed security guard services at Westland City Hall. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for staff and patrons, assisting with daily closing procedures, managing problematic patrons through de-escalation techniques, enforcing City Hall policies, and coordinating with the Westland Police Department when necessary. Security personnel must be professional, dressed in appropriate business attire (suit and tie), and possess a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL). Previous law enforcement experience is preferred. Services will be provided Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours for council meetings, election days, and special events. The initial contract term will be one year with up to two additional one-year extension options.
