Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ), intends to award a sole source modification to Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract number 70CDCR22D00000002 to Akima Infrastructure Protection, LLC. This modification is for on-call stationary guard support to operate and manage the Port Isabel Detention Center (PIDC) located in Los Fresnos, Texas. The modification is being considered under FAR Class Deviation 25-11, citing that only one responsible source can satisfy the agency's requirements within the necessary timeframe. Market research indicated that Akima Infrastructure Protection, LLC is the only entity capable of meeting this requirement promptly. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposals or quotes. Interested parties who believe they can fulfill this requirement are invited to submit their capabilities by email no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on June 26, 2026, to Genna.Braden@ice.dhs.gov. The subject line should read: "Response to Notice of Intent 70CDCR22D00000002 - PIDC Sole Source Modification". All submitted information should demonstrate the offeror's capability to provide the required services at no cost to the Government. The anticipated primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612 - Security Guards and Patrol Services.
