Description
The Maryland Environmental Service is conducting a Request for Information regarding evaluation of approximately 650 glass units, revising the preliminary quantity of approximately 614 windows, totaling about 8,500 square feet. The agency seeks input from commercial glazing contractors, building-envelope specialists, manufacturers, authorized installers, and other experienced firms regarding field verification, condition assessment, technical methodologies, performance metrics, material availability, project delivery, scheduling, and lifecycle costs. Respondents may address full replacement, comprehensive rehabilitation, complete reglazing, or selective improvement of existing window assemblies at the fully occupied MES headquarters. Requested information includes capabilities and relevant project experience, occupied-building work methods, technical considerations, phased execution, quality and safety controls, MBE/SBR participation opportunities, planning-level cost ranges, service life, energy performance, return on investment, and anticipated schedules. Responses will inform a future procurement and will not result in a contract.
