Description
The City of Hays is requesting a turnkey bid for removal of the existing poured-in-place playground surfacing and installation of new poured-in-place surfacing at the Bickle Schmidt Sports Complex. The approximately 55-by-55-foot surfacing area should accommodate an 8-foot fall height, with some potential base-material re-leveling. The bidder must include all mobilization, equipment, materials, and installation, and must protect existing playground equipment, the shade structure, concrete, turf, and other site amenities. The new surfacing is expected to be installed between April 1 and June 1, 2027, after installation of a new shade structure. Bidders must provide a detailed list of included items and warranty terms, identify exclusions and City-provided requirements, submit itemized costs, and complete the Summary Bid Form. A black-and-green fall-zone color is preferred, although other colors may be considered.
