Description
Douglas County seeks a contractor to rehabilitate three historic structures: a saloon, barn, and bunkhouse. Work includes repointing the saloon's stone foundation after mortar analysis and a mockup, improving drainage, reconstructing retaining walls, installing compatible roof shingles, and restoring doors and frames. The barn work includes removing and reinstalling existing siding where possible, installing replica siding and battens where needed, painting based on an existing paint analysis, and restoring the north door. The bunkhouse work includes replacing its concrete foundation with a historically compatible board-formed foundation, preserving a section containing historic farm-implement rebar, and restoring exterior features and its metal roof.
