Description

The City seeks construction manager/general contractor services for three projects: renovation of the second and third floors of the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library and Museum, comprehensive renovation of the Montbello Branch Library including end-of-life building system replacements and design of an adjacent outdoor space, and construction of a shaded cultural plaza at Montbello Civic Center Park. The library work includes interior reconfiguration and renovations to staff work areas, Special Collections, restrooms, and structural elements as needed to support current use. Phase 1 proposals must be submitted electronically through BidNet. Contractors must be prequalified in Category 2B General Building—Occupied Building at or above the $25 million monetary level, and must have submitted a prequalification application at least 10 calendar days before the proposal deadline. An 18% MWBE participation goal applies during the construction phase. Construction work is subject to City prevailing-wage and minimum-wage requirements.
