Description
Onondaga County, as lead agency, seeks bids to furnish two types of battery-operated residential smoke alarms for the City of Syracuse Fire Department and other participating departments. The estimated quantity is 2,000 units for each item. Bidders may bid on either or both items, and approved equivalents are permitted. Units must meet the stated UL, NFPA, FHA, and HUD requirements and include features such as a 10-year lithium battery, tamper-resistant sealed alarm, 85 dB horn, test/reset button, end-of-life signal, and mounting hardware. Contractor or box-style packaging is required; retail or clamshell packaging is not accepted. Delivery is required within 7–14 business days after receipt of a purchase order. The addendum updates Item 1’s reference model to First Alert/BRK SM610 or approved equal and provides updated specifications and pricing pages. The resulting blanket contract is for purchases as needs arise, with a one-year initial term and two possible one-year renewals. No bid or performance security is required.
