Description
The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind seeks a contractor to furnish materials, equipment, labor, software, and licensing to upgrade HVAC control systems in four campus buildings. Systems must use Niagara or Honeywell controls. Work includes replacing control enclosures, transformers, power supplies, sensors, and valve and damper actuators; installing sensors for temperature, humidity, occupancy, and air quality; deploying controllers and actuators; integrating user interfaces; and establishing communications networks. Existing control valves and dampers may be reused. The work also includes permitting, inspections, system commissioning, and testing and balancing by a certified contractor, including validation of airflows for air handling units and variable air volume boxes. The procurement has a pre-qualification phase followed by a bid phase; only pre-qualified vendors may submit the final bid, and qualified vendors must attend the mandatory pre-response meeting and site visit. The solicitation requires a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid and evidence of the ability to provide a 100% payment and performance bond.
