Description
The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities, Division of Water Reclamation, is soliciting construction bids for replacement of HVAC systems serving the Centrifuge Dewatering Building and Parts Storage Building 1 at the Jackson Pike Water Reclamation Plant. The work includes demolition and replacement of the existing H60 unit, temporary cooling for the Centrifuge Dewatering Building electrical room, HVAC equipment replacement, associated HVAC controls, electrical and instrumentation work, ductwork, insulation, testing, adjusting, balancing, commissioning, and operational demonstration. The contract is estimated not to exceed $500,000. Work must be substantially complete within 330 calendar days and finally complete within 360 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the required electronic bid information and forms, including the Proposal Signature Affidavit, bid bond documentation, subcontractor information, experience and resources information, deadlines and cost-control information for three similar completed projects, availability information, and the Bid Affidavit. A bid bond equal to at least 10 percent of the total bid is required; a 100 percent performance and payment bond is required after award if the contract exceeds $100,000. The successful contractor must perform at least 50 percent of the Contract Sum with its own organization unless otherwise approved.
