Description
The Village of Carpentersville is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of approximately 2,700 tons of water-softening-grade sodium chloride during 2027, at an anticipated rate of 50–55 tons per week. The salt must contain at least 98% sodium chloride, be free of organic matter and fines, and meet the specified clear southern coarse rock salt requirements or an equivalent suitable product. The contractor must provide transportation and delivery in approximately 23-ton truckloads with controlled-flow discharge chutes, generally Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The bid is unit-price based, with an initial contract period from January 1 through December 31, 2027, and possible one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Required bid materials include the completed bidder's proposal, sworn acknowledgment, applicable work history statement, bid security, and required surety and insurance commitments.
