Description

The City of Waxahachie is soliciting bids for a complete turnkey standby power installation at its Senior Center. The contractor must furnish and install one 250 kW diesel generator, a 1,200-amp service-entrance-rated automatic transfer switch, diesel fuel storage and delivery equipment, remote annunciation and emergency-stop systems, grounding, conduit, wiring, a reinforced concrete pad, protective bollards, and all related accessories. The scope includes engineering, permitting, utility coordination, construction, fuel-system installation, inspections, startup, commissioning, functional and load-bank testing, operator training, warranties, manuals, test reports, as-built drawings, and closeout documentation. The proposed generator must meet the stated electrical, environmental, enclosure, controls, and NFPA requirements, or be an approved equal. Bidders must demonstrate relevant licensing, manufacturer authorization, at least five years of commercial standby-generator experience, three similar projects of at least 200 kW completed within the past five years, project references, and warranty-support capability. Electronic submission through the procurement portal is preferred; sealed paper submission with a USB copy is also permitted.
