Description

Clemson University is establishing a five-year fixed-price contract with multiple sources for network design, installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of twisted-pair copper and optical-fiber cabling. The solicitation is divided into two lots: twisted-pair copper cabling and optical-fiber installation; vendors may bid on either or both lots. Work may include projects ranging from small outlet installations to buildings requiring several hundred outlets, with the capability to support projects of up to 2,500 outlets within 60–90 days. Contractors must provide labor, supervision, tooling, mounting hardware, consumables, design, installation, testing, documentation, and related pathway and support work. Copper work requires Category 6A systems and CommScope Netconnect authorization. Fiber work requires Corning Cable Systems LANscape Network of Preferred Installers membership, Corning components, and a 25-year system warranty. The response must include pricing at or below the stated maximum rates, the completed bidding schedule, required online bid attributes, an experience and certifications statement, manufacturer certification documentation, proposed team qualifications, and three similar project references for each applicable lot. Awards will initially be made to all responsive and responsible bidders meeting the pricing requirements, with additional awards possible quarterly or sooner when additional suppliers are needed.
