Description
Miami-Dade County, through the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, is seeking a design-builder for the MIA Concourse D West Extension D60 Phase 2 at the North Terminal. The project includes a three-level concourse expansion, demolition and replacement of the existing Regional Commuter Facility, 17 operational contact gates, passenger hold rooms, concessions shell space, sterile corridors, baggage-handling-system expansion, passenger boarding bridges, vertical circulation, and support facilities. The scope also includes apron and airside improvements, aircraft parking positions, taxilanes, drainage, utilities, hydrant fueling, 400 Hz ground power, airfield lighting and markings, security and information-technology systems, utility relocations, phasing, maintenance of airport operations, commissioning, operational readiness, training, and closeout. The project must achieve at least LEED Silver and Envision Silver certifications. The estimated total contract compensation is $1,062,134,663, and the contract duration is 2,294 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with substantial completion required no later than 2,174 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
