Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through its Division of Abandoned Mine Lands, is soliciting construction services for reinforced-concrete retaining wall construction and slope stabilization in Knott County. The work includes formed and finished concrete, earthwork and grading, offsite disposal of excavated material, a subdrain, concrete ditches, HDPE pipes, concrete headwalls, drop boxes, and drainage controls around the Slope and Hall residences directing runoff to the receiving drain next to KY 160. The scope also includes hoe-ram work to break boulders, reinforcing steel, W8 x 40 piles and reinforced-concrete caps seated into bedrock to prevent lateral movement, and soil and rock drilling. The estimated project length is 420 calendar days from substantial completion to final completion.
