The Virginia Department of Energy is soliciting a contractor to perform the Legion Hall Road Drainage Paving Project. The scope includes reclamation of an abandoned mine portal and clogged stream areas, site preparation and access-route work, installation of VDOT No. 21B stone and No. 1 stone, silt fencing, asphalt ditch repair, SM-9.5A asphalt repair, asphalt sealer, and revegetation. The posted bid items include mobilization, 360 linear feet of site preparation/access-route work, aggregate placement, 100 linear feet of silt fence, 60 linear feet of asphalt ditch repair, 20 tons of SM-9.5A asphalt repair, 170 gallons of asphalt sealer, and revegetation over 0.01 acre. Mobilization is limited to no more than 10% of the total base bid amount.
