Description
This construction bid package covers furnishing and installing miscellaneous specialties for a high school modernization. The scope includes marker boards; tactile, building, site, field, and electronic signage; toilet compartments, mirrors, and accessories; wall protection; Knox boxes; fire extinguishers and cabinets; flagpoles; residential appliances; and interior bike racks. Work also includes installing and relocating an existing scoreboard, its foundations, and related accessories and connections. The scope document excludes projection screens and audiovisual equipment supports, despite their mention in the general package description. The package includes two alternate shade-canopy bids: an outdoor learning canopy and a bus drop-off canopy. Bidders must submit a sealed paper bid, a bid security of at least 10% of the bid, and the specified bid documents. Prequalification is required for the prime bidder and specified mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractors; the questionnaire and financial statement must be submitted at least ten business days before bid opening, and prequalification must be announced at least five business days before opening. The project has a stated duration of 177 calendar days. Payment and performance bonds are required before work begins; the solicitation lists each at 100% of the contract amount.
