Description
York County is soliciting proposals from FirstEnergy-qualified vendors to install and deploy Wi-Fi infrastructure for its Urban Wireless initiative. The scope includes base-station antennas, equipment, and cabling at 11 feeder sites, plus specified Wi-Fi equipment on 645 FirstEnergy-owned traffic poles. Additional pole work may be added by written contract addendum at the vendor’s proposed pricing. The contractor must provide labor and installation materials, verify site conditions, comply with FirstEnergy construction and safety standards, coordinate with York County’s partner Wifinium and an onsite Wifinium engineer, provide traffic control, and complete punch-list corrections and a closeout package with installation photographs. Proposals must include a cover letter and company profile, cost estimates using Attachment P, a technical and operational approach, experience and proof of FirstEnergy qualification, two to four like-work references with contact information, and any restrictions affecting completion of the requested pole work. The contract is identified as fixed-fee, and attendance at all dates of the mandatory multi-day feeder-site walk-through is required for a responsive proposal.
