Description
Haines Borough is seeking a contractor to provide snow removal services for Historic Dalton Trail in the Eagle Vista Subdivision. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, tools, and equipment; clearing snow to specified widths when accumulation reaches the contract threshold; removing ice and hard-packed snow; sanding hills, curves, and intersections; and supplying sand meeting Alaska Department of Transportation Sand Blanket Material Gradation requirements. The contract provides for plowing, sanding, and berm-back services at quoted lump-sum, per-job rates. The contractor must inspect the service areas before the first snowfall, repair or replace property damaged during performance, and comply with applicable prevailing-wage requirements. The agreement begins upon execution and expires on April 30 of the applicable contract year, with possible one-year renewals for a total contract duration not exceeding three years.
